> **Beta:** Drying logs are in beta and available on select plans. Details may change as we improve the feature.

## Generate from the Drying tab

1. Open the estimate and select the **Drying** tab.
2. Select **Generate drying plan**.
3. Wave drafts a plan from your estimate's rooms, water category, and equipment, plus local weather. It arrives in seconds.

You can also ask in chat: "set up the drying log for this job."

## What the plan includes

- **Chambers.** Drying zones tied to the rooms on your estimate.
- **Daily targets.** Suggested temperature, relative humidity, and moisture values for each chamber, for each day of the drying window.
- **Equipment.** Air movers and dehumidifiers sized from room dimensions and water category.

Suggested values appear in light text throughout the grid. They are a baseline to compare your field readings against, and every part of the setup can be adjusted. See [Adjust a plan](/docs/drying/adjust-and-regenerate).

## Review before the first monitoring visit

Give the plan a quick once-over before day one:

- Confirm the chambers match how you actually contained the job.
- Confirm the equipment counts match what you placed.
- Check the drying window matches what you told the customer.

If anything differs, adjust it now so your log starts accurate. Then start [recording readings](/docs/drying/record-readings) on your first monitoring visit.
