Wave's interface is intentionally small. There are three things you'll spend time in.

## All Estimates

The home screen is the estimate list — drafts in progress, estimates that are complete, and anything your teammates have started. Filter tabs across the top let you narrow to **Preliminary**, **Completed**, or **Canceled** (search is scoped to whichever tab you're on — see [Find and filter estimates](/docs/reference/filters-and-urls)).

You'll bounce back here between jobs.

## The estimating screen

Open any estimate or click **+ New Estimate** and you land on the workspace. It's split in half:

- **Left** — the chat. Type or use voice to describe the loss. Wave asks per-room interview questions and accepts edit commands in natural language.
- **Right** — the structured estimate. Updates as the chat progresses. Contains the FNOL block, loss description, notes, photos, and the line items grouped by section.

You edit from either side. Add a room? Chat. Rename a room? Right pane. Bump a quantity from 1 to 4? Either. For the full mental model, see [Chat-first, structure on the right](/docs/concepts/chat-first-layout).

## Profile Settings

Top-right of the app. Four tabs:

- **Personal Info** — your name, email, password
- **Company Info** — logo, address, license info — flows into every PDF export
- **Teams** — invite teammates, manage roles
- **Billings** — plan, payment method, invoice history (Stripe-backed)

See [Settings overview](/docs/account/settings-overview) for the per-tab walkthrough.

## Ready to try it?

Walk through a real loss in [Make your first estimate](/docs/estimates/start-an-estimate). You'll be done in 10–15 minutes.
