Run your team's schedule from one screen. Timeline shows each teammate's day, lists the jobs that still need a visit and lets you book work by dragging a job onto a day or by telling Wave who goes where and when.

## Plan the day

1. **Open Timeline.** It opens on today in your company's time zone, with a row for each teammate. See [Timeline](/docs/jobs/timeline).
2. **Find jobs that need a visit.** The **Jobs** list below the day shows the jobs assigned to you in two groups, **Unscheduled** and **Scheduled**, followed by **All jobs** for the rest of the company. A card marked **Visit requested** is waiting for someone to book it.
3. **Book it.** Drag a job card onto a teammate's row, click an empty spot in a row, or say "Send Luis to the Garza job tomorrow at 9." See [Book a visit](/docs/jobs/book-a-visit).
4. **Adjust as the day changes.** Drag a visit to a new time or teammate, or drag its ends to change its length. You can also ask Wave to move or cancel it.

## Split the work between the field and the office

A simple hand-off keeps everyone productive:

- **In the field,** whoever is on site finishes a visit and tells Wave in the job's chat, for example "request a visit for the Park job to measure the upstairs bedrooms." The job shows **Visit requested**.
- **In the office,** a project manager assigned to the job sees the request under **Unscheduled** on Timeline and drops it onto the right day for the right person. Use **Assign** on the job's Overview to put the project manager on the job.

A request keeps its task and length when you drop it, so nothing needs to be re-entered.

## Keep the schedule and the job together

- **Booked people join the job.** When you book someone on a visit, Wave adds them to the job's team. See [Job details, contacts and team](/docs/jobs/job-details-and-contacts).
- **The job keeps a record.** Bookings, moves and cancellations appear in the job's Notes log. Choose the **Schedule** filter to see only those. See [Job notes](/docs/collaboration/internal-notes).
- **Statuses follow the work.** After the first visit, move the job to its next status on the board. See [Track every job with job statuses](/docs/workflows/track-jobs-with-statuses).

## On a phone

Timeline shows the day as an agenda in time order. Choose **Everyone** or one teammate at the top, tap a visit to see or edit it, and book with the command box at the bottom or the job's **Schedule** button. See [Use Wave on your phone](/docs/get-started/use-wave-on-your-phone).

## Set your company's time zone

Wave books in your company's time zone, which comes from your company address. An Admin can change it in **Settings**, under **Company**. See [Company info](/docs/account/company-info).

## Tip

Start the morning by scanning **Unscheduled** and **Visit requested** cards. Once those are booked, everyone knows where they need to be.
