Custom pricing

Set your own price for any catalog item from Settings > Pricing. Your price is used instead of the regional price on future estimates. Admin only.

Wave prices line items from a regional database based on the loss address. If your rates differ, you do not have to accept the regional number: set a price override and Wave uses your price instead.

Price overrides live in the Pricing tab in Settings. This tab is Admin only.

How overrides work

An override replaces the regional price for one catalog item, for your whole company. Once set, your price is used instead of the regional price whenever that item lands on an estimate.

Set a price override

  1. Open the account menu and choose Settings.
  2. Select the Pricing tab.
  3. Find the catalog item you want to override.
  4. Enter your price.
  5. Watch for the "Saved" indicator to pulse.

From then on, that item uses your price.

What overrides apply to

Overrides apply to future estimates. Estimates you have already built keep the prices they were built with, so a completed number does not shift under you.

Two things to know:

  • Overrides are set here, not in chat. Changing a price on one estimate (in chat or on the canvas) changes that estimate only. To make a price your default, set it in Settings > Pricing.
  • Overrides are company-wide. Everyone on your team gets your prices on new estimates.
