Sign in and account basics

Sign in at go.buildwithwave.com/auth and land on Home, ready to tell Wave what you need. Reset a password, switch companies and see what Admins and Members can do.

Sign in at go.buildwithwave.com/auth and land on Home, ready to tell Wave what you need. This page also covers password resets, switching companies and what Admins and Members can each do.

The Wave app lives at go.buildwithwave.com. The site you're reading now (buildwithwave.com) is for product info and docs, and you sign in on the app.

Sign in

  1. Go to go.buildwithwave.com/auth.
  2. Enter the email and password you signed up with.
  3. Leave Keep me signed in checked on your own phone or computer. On a shared computer, uncheck it so you're signed out when the browser closes.
  4. Choose Sign in.

You land on Home: a greeting and one command box. Tell Wave what you need there, such as creating a job, starting an estimate, booking a visit or adding a note. See Home.

If Wave signed you out after a period of inactivity, the sign-in page says so. Sign back in and pick up where you left off.

If you belong to more than one company

After you sign in, Wave shows Choose a company. Pick the one you want to work in. To move to another company later, open the account menu and choose Switch company, with no need to sign out. See Switch company.

Forgot your password

  1. On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password?.
  2. Enter the email on your account and choose Send reset link.
  3. Wave shows Check your email. Open the reset email and follow the link.
  4. Enter a new password twice and choose Reset password.

If the link isn't working, go back to the sign-in page and request a new one.

When you're already signed in, you can also request a reset link from the Account tab in Settings. See Account settings.

Admins and Members

Each Wave teammate is either an Admin or a Member. The person who created the company is its first Admin.

Members do the day-to-day work:

  • Create and update jobs, contacts, notes and files
  • Schedule visits on the Timeline
  • Start, edit, export and share estimates, and duplicate them on a paid plan
  • Record drying log readings, on plans that include drying logs
  • Add company line items under Your Items in the Pricing tab
  • Upload carrier guidelines, on plans that include guideline checks

Admins can do everything Members can, plus:

  • Use the Letterheads, Exports, Integrations, Team and Billing tabs in Settings
  • Save company details on the Company tab (Members can view it)
  • Set Company Pricing inside the Pricing tab
  • Invite teammates, change roles and remove members
  • Change the plan

Trouble signing in

If a password reset doesn't get you in, email hello@buildwithwave.com from the address on your account. There's no need to include your password or other credentials, and we can restore access without them.
