What you get

When you create your account, your company starts a free trial of 3 estimates. The trial includes up to 3 jobs, and jobs themselves use no estimate credits. Only estimates count toward the 3. See How estimate credits work.

Features you can try

Your first 3 estimates include nearly every Pro feature, except Slack notifications, API access and export for other estimating software, plus drying logs and the core tools every plan has:

  • PDF export with your company branding.
  • Drying logs on water jobs. Wave generates sample dry logs based on what real drying science would be, to help anyone on your team who is new to drying understand drying goals for the job. You can also attach an existing drying log in a chat from Home or in a job's chat. Wave reads it, answers questions about it and records any readings you tell it. You can upload photos or PDFs of an existing drying log. A log started during the trial keeps working after you subscribe, and it doesn't use any of Starter's 5 free drying logs.
  • QuickBooks Online: send a draft invoice to QuickBooks.
  • Industry standards, built in: ask about drying science or mold and chat about the standards based on credible sources, field experience and the EPA.
  • Carrier guideline checks: upload your own carrier or TPA guidelines and Wave flags lines against the program you confirm. Your guidelines stay private to your company. Wave is not trained on carrier guidelines, and your uploads are never used to improve Wave.
  • Core tools: jobs, contacts, notes, files, Timeline and chat with Wave.

Features that come with a paid plan

  • Slack notifications. Connect Slack on any paid plan, starting with Starter.
  • Export for other estimating software. Basic and above include it. A Wave account specialist sets this up for your company.
  • Duplicate estimate. Duplicating an estimate comes with a paid plan.
  • API keys. Connecting your AI assistant to Wave with an API key comes with a paid plan.

Chat during the trial

Chat with Wave to build and refine your estimates. After Wave finishes an estimate on the trial, follow-up chat messages on that estimate are capped, and hand edits on the Estimates tab stay open: click any cell and change what you need. Subscribing lifts the chat cap.

After your trial estimates

When your 3 estimates are used, your jobs stay open: add notes and files, book visits, and view and edit the estimates you built. When you're ready for more estimates, an Admin picks a plan.

  • Admins land in the plan picker when they start the next estimate.
  • Members see a "Limit reached" message with a prompt to contact an Admin.

Subscribe

An Admin subscribes from the plan picker in Settings > Billing. See the steps in Change your plan. If you subscribe before using all 3 trial estimates, the unused ones stay available. For what each plan includes, see Plans and limits.
