Create your account

Sign up for Wave at go.buildwithwave.com in a couple of minutes: no demo, no sales call and no credit card. Your first 3 estimates are free.

Before you start

  • A work email address
  • Your company name
  • A phone number for your account

You can fill in the rest of your company details (address, logo, license number) after signup.

Sign up

  1. Go to go.buildwithwave.com/signup. From the sign-in page, you can also choose Create one next to "Don't have an account?".
  2. Enter your first and last name, Organization name (your company), phone number and email.
  3. Choose a password and type it again to confirm. It needs 8 to 128 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol.
  4. Complete the human-verification check.
  5. Choose Create account.

Your account is ready right away, and you land on Home. The person who signs up becomes the company's first Admin.

Joining a teammate's company

If a teammate invited you, open the link in your invitation email instead. You'll see a shorter form: your email is already filled in, and you don't need an organization name or phone number. Choose Join organization to finish. See Invite a teammate.

Your free trial

Your first 3 estimates include Pro features such as PDF export, drying logs, QuickBooks, carrier guideline checks and industry standards in chat. That's enough to run real jobs through Wave before you pay.

Jobs don't use estimate credits. The free trial includes up to 3 jobs, and each estimate uses one credit. The full details are in Free trial.

What a paid plan adds

  • Slack notifications come with any paid plan.
  • Export for other estimating software comes with Basic and above. A Wave account specialist sets this up for your company.
  • Follow-up chat. The trial includes a set number of chat messages about a finished estimate. Subscribing removes that limit, and editing by hand on the Estimates tab has no limit on any plan.
  • More jobs and Duplicate. A paid plan lifts the 3-job limit and lets you duplicate an estimate.

What to do next

Home shows a Getting started checklist for your first 30 days. Each row opens the place where you do that step, and it checks itself off as you go. You can also choose the optional Tutorial button on Home for a guided tour of a sample job.

Three good first moves:

  • Set up your company. Add your logo, address and contact details in Company info. They print on your estimates and invoices.
  • Tell Wave about a loss. Type or say what happened in the box on Home, and Wave creates the job. Your first job, start to finish walks through the whole path.
  • Bring in your team. See Invite a teammate.
