Estimates
Send an estimate to QuickBooks
Create a draft invoice in QuickBooks Online from a finished estimate — client, line items, and totals organized by room. Always a draft, never sent for you.
Last updated
Once your company is connected to QuickBooks, a finished estimate becomes an invoice in a couple of clicks.
How to send
- Open the estimate and click Export.
- Choose Send to QuickBooks.
- Wave creates a draft invoice in your QuickBooks company: the client, the line items, and the totals, organized by room.
- Open it in QuickBooks to review, adjust, and send it yourself.
What Wave does carefully
- It's always a draft. Wave never emails the invoice to your client — you review and send from QuickBooks.
- No duplicate customers. Wave matches the client against your existing QuickBooks customers first. If more than one could match, it asks you to pick instead of guessing.
- Room context rides along. On multi-room estimates each line says which room it belongs to, so the invoice reads like the estimate.
- No double-sends. An estimate that's already been sent is flagged before it goes again.
Invoice options
An admin controls how invoices are built in Settings → Integrations: which QuickBooks Product/Service the lines reference (default: "Wave Services") and whether the invoice carries every line or one summary line per room. See Connect QuickBooks.
Availability
The QuickBooks integration is available on Basic and above. See Plans and limits.
