Brand your exports

Make every PDF look like your company. Choose a styled cover in your brand color or a clean black-and-white document, set once in Settings > Exports for the whole company.

Last updated

Every PDF you send is a leave-behind for your company. Choose a styled cover in your brand color or a clean black-and-white document, and set it once for the whole company. The Exports tab in Settings controls how your estimate and drying log PDFs look, and the choice applies to every export from your company.

Settings, Exports: how your estimate and drying-log PDFs look

Only Admins see the Exports tab. What goes into each PDF, like which sections and columns print, is picked in the Export dialog each time. See Customize reports.

Open the Exports tab

  1. Open the account menu and choose Settings.
  2. Select the Exports tab. On a phone, pick Exports from the dropdown at the top of Settings.

Each change saves as you make it.

Styled or plain

Under Styled exports, choose:

  • On: the Wave look, with a branded cover, cream paper and your accent color. This is the default.
  • Off: a plain, conservative document with no color.

The brand color and cover style apply when styled exports are on. When styled exports are off, those settings are dimmed.

Pick a brand accent

Under Brand accent, pick your brand color. It fills the cover band, the grand-total banner and the drying log chart lines.

  • Select one of the preset swatches. Its name shows under the row.
  • Or enter your own color under Custom color as a 6-digit hex code, like #0052CC, and select Apply.

Wave checks that a custom color stays readable. If text would be hard to read on it, Apply stays off and Wave suggests a swatch or a clearer shade. If a color is a little faint for the thin lines and chart details on the page, Wave warns you but still lets you apply it. Colors you apply are saved under Saved colors in that browser, so you can reuse them with one click.

Choose a cover style

Under Cover style, pick the front page of your documents:

  • Wave band: a brand-color band across the cover with the customer name. A bold cover for the property owner.
  • Wave diagonal: the brand-color band sweeps up from the lower left to the upper right.
  • Editorial: a light, quiet cover with a thin accent rule and the name on cream. Suited to documents headed to a carrier.

Add your logo and company details

Your logo and company details come from Settings > Company: the logo, address, phone, email, EIN and license number (the Contractor license field). See Company info.

If the letterhead an export is about to print is missing a logo or an address, the Export dialog shows a Brand your PDF note. Select Set up company to go straight to the Company tab.

If your company works under more than one name or location, add a letterhead for each. See Letterheads for multiple locations.

What appears on each page

Everything you've entered on the Company tab prints on the letterhead: logo, company name, address, phone, email, license number and EIN.

Every estimate or drying log PDF you export from a job, other than an invoice, opens with a Cover page that carries the customer, property, loss and claim details, whether the export is styled or plain.

On styled exports, your company details also run along the footer of each page, so a single page pulled from the packet still says who sent it. Drying log PDFs follow the same branding.
