Estimates

Undo and redo

⌘Z and ⌘⇧Z undo and redo your manual edits on the estimate canvas: adds, deletes, edits, reorders, and modifiers. The Drying tab keeps its own undo history.

Last updated

Edit freely. Every manual change on the estimate canvas has an undo.

The shortcuts

  • ⌘Z (Ctrl+Z) undoes your last edit.
  • ⌘⇧Z (Ctrl+Shift+Z) redoes it.

Both are also available from the command palette: press ⌘K (Ctrl+K) and type "undo".

What undo covers

Undo applies to the manual edits you make on the canvas:

  • Adding and deleting line items and rooms
  • Editing descriptions, quantities, units, and prices
  • Reordering items and rooms
  • Applying and removing modifiers
  • Moving or copying items between rooms

What undo does not cover

Chat messages are not "undone". Undo applies to estimate edits, not to the conversation. If Wave changed the estimate through chat and you want something different, just tell Wave what to change.

The Drying tab has its own undo

The Drying tab keeps a separate, independent undo history for your reading edits. Pressing ⌘Z there undoes your last reading changes, not your canvas edits, and canvas undo never touches your recorded readings. (Drying logs are in beta and available on select plans.)
