Delete a line item
Select a row and press D, Delete, or Backspace, then confirm. Bulk delete a selection, use the kebab or right-click menus, or ask Wave in chat. ⌘Z undoes it.
Deleting a line item is quick from anywhere: keyboard, mouse, or chat. Totals reprice instantly, and undo has your back.
From the keyboard
- Select the row.
- Press D, Delete, or Backspace.
- Confirm in the dialog.
From the mouse
- Kebab menu: click the kebab (⋮) on the row and choose Delete.
- Right-click: right-click the line item and choose the delete action.
Both paths ask you to confirm before removing the line.
Bulk delete
Select several rows first: Shift+click for a range, ⌘-click (Ctrl-click) to toggle individual rows, or ⌘A (Ctrl+A) to select every line item. Then either press D (or Delete / Backspace) or right-click the selection and choose Delete N items. One confirm removes the whole set. See Select and bulk edit.
Via chat
Ask Wave, naming the room for room-scoped lines:
- "Delete the cover register from the hall bathroom."
- "Remove the floor protection line in the hallway."
You can chain several deletes in one message. See Edit a line item via chat.
What gets deleted
- The line item itself
- Any note attached to it
- The line's contribution to the totals
Changed your mind?
Press ⌘Z (Ctrl+Z). Deletes are part of the canvas undo history, so an accidental delete is one keystroke from restored. See Undo and redo.
