Limits and file sizes
Message length, voice recordings, photo, PDF and video sizes, job fields, invitations and share-link comments, all in one place.
Send long site walks, big photo sets and large videos with room to spare. A message holds up to 20,000 characters, you can add 40 files at a time on the Files tab, and videos can be up to 200 MB. If you reach a limit, Wave tells you on screen and keeps what you typed.
Messages and voice

A 20,000-character message fits a long site walk or several pages of pasted notes. If a message runs over, Wave pauses before sending and tells you how many messages to split it into. Everything you typed stays in the box.
While you record, the sound bars turn red as you near the 90-second mark, and at the limit the recording stops on its own and your words are added to the draft. For a longer walk-through, record several times. Each recording is added to the same draft before you send. See Use voice input.
Files on Home and in the job chat
This applies to the command box on Home and to the chat beside a job's Overview, Notes, Files and Drying tabs.

You can send files without a message. Files you send are kept on the job.
Files in chat on an open estimate and on the Chat page
In chat on an open estimate (the job's Estimates tab) and on the Chat page in the top bar, limits apply to each message:

An estimate file from other estimating software counts as one of your two files per message. See Ask Wave about photos and Ask Wave about documents.

Uploads keep going if you switch to another tab of the job. See Job files.
Jobs and estimates
Jobs don't use estimate credits. A company on the free trial can create up to 3 jobs, and paid plans have no job limit.
A job can hold up to 5 estimates, for example a water estimate and a repairs estimate. Each new estimate uses one credit. Duplicating an estimate uses no credit and comes with a paid plan. See Several estimates on one job and How estimate credits work.
Job statuses
Anyone on your team can add up to 5 statuses of its own to the Jobs board, with names up to 40 characters. See The Jobs board.

A note that runs over the limit can be posted as several notes, and Wave tells you how many.
Invitations
An invitation link works for 7 days. If it expires, an Admin can resend it from Settings, then Team, which sends a fresh link. See Invite a teammate.
Guideline PDFs
Each carrier or TPA guideline PDF you upload can be up to 20 MB. See Set up carrier guidelines.
Share-link comments
A comment on a collaborator share link can be up to 2,000 characters. You control access: replace the link or stop sharing whenever you like. See Comment on line items.
