Move or copy line items between rooms
Right-click a line item (or a selection) and choose Move to or Copy to a room. Dragging reorders within a section; moving between rooms is a right-click action.
Sometimes a line item lands in the wrong room, or you want to repeat the same work in another room. Both are a right-click away.
Move or copy items
- Select the line items you want to move. Click one, or multi-select several.
- Right-click the selection.
- Choose Move N items to and pick the destination room, or Copy N items to to duplicate them there instead.
Move relocates the items. Copy leaves the originals in place and adds duplicates to the room you pick. In a multi-unit estimate, same-named rooms are labeled with their unit in the menu (for example "Kitchen (Unit 2B)"), so you always pick the right one.
Why not drag them across?
Dragging the handle on the left of a row reorders items within their section only. Items cannot be dragged from one room into another. That keeps drag-and-drop safe for tidying order without accidentally rescoping a room. When you want an item in a different room, use right-click Move to.

Undo if you change your mind
⌘Z (Ctrl+Z) on the estimate canvas undoes a move or copy, like any other manual edit. See Undo and redo.
